The story so far...
A lot of people have been asking me about Bookman. So I have decided to clear up the mystery once and for all. Please be warned there are some 'Baddies' in this story.
Once there was Bookman. He flew from school to school and house to house encouraging children to read. He was a good man but he became old and tired, his visits became less frequent (and we lost his costume).
In the darkness, the Book Bandits led by the Page Pincher started to take over. Alongside the Letter Looter, the Word Wrangler and the Sentence Snatcher, the Pincher started to tell children to put their books, comics and magazines down. He said reading wasn’t important anymore.
The Chapter Chappie, a friend of Bookman, heard about the Book Bandits and started to recruit members from the FBI (February Book Index) and asked them to join his Book Club. He was a superhero, he knew reading was important and his mission, along with the members of the Book Club, was to get all children reading again (his other mission was to check with Mr Rivett that his costume had been ordered for Monday and that Mrs Alcock had kindly used her special printing machine to make the ‘CC’ for his t-shirt).
